Campground Features
The Au Gres Riverfront Campground is one of the area’s most popular destination campgrounds. The campground features 109 campsites and 2 rental cabins available for daily, weekly, monthly or seasonal rental. All of the campsites have water and electric hook ups, a fire pit and a picnic table. 26 of the sites also include sewer hook-up and 33 sites (no sewer) are located on the banks of the Au Gres River. The campground also includes a centrally located playground area for children, a kayak/small boat ramp to explore the river and a fish cleaning station for successful anglers.
Located adjacent to the Au Gres Riverfront Campground is the City Park. This day use park features playground equipment, tennis, pickle ball, basketball and volleyball courts. Baseball fields and horseshoe pits are also located at the park. Two pavilions, one 60x100 enclosed and one 24x32 open air are also available for rent.
There is plenty to do within a short distance of the campground; Riverside Park attractions include a splash pad, a nautical themed play area, an ADA kayak launch and a fishing pier. Riverside Park also has boater mooring facilities available for rent by the day, week, month or season with discounted rates for registered campers. The Old Airport Disc Golf course is only minutes away. This top rated 19-hole course is nestled in a wooded setting. Even if you are not a golfer, you are welcome to hike this pristine property. Grocery stores and a few of Au Gres’ unique shops are a short walk across the pedestrian bridge from the campground.
Au Gres is the center of Northeast Michigan accessibly for boating and recreational fishing. The MiDNR public boat ramp is located a mile from the Riverfront Campground. From there, you are only minutes to Saginaw Bay and Lake Huron for some of the best perch and walleye fishing the State of Michigan has to offer. The Riverside Park fish cleaning station is located near the ramp is free to use (donations welcome) after your successful fishing excursion.

Cabins
Season begins April 15th and Ends October 15th and has a required 2 night minimum stay Monday through Sunday. Each cabin includes bunks (sleep 6 max), table, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, electric, outside water faucet, outside grill & fire-pit. No smoking and no pets allowed in cabins. A one-time cleaning fee of $12 will be assessed for each cabin rental on top of these rates. Non-refundable deposit on cabins. Check-out before 12pm (noon) & Check-in time anytime after 2pm unless arrangements were made with the campground.
